What is a customary tip?

If you feel your captain and crew did an amazing job, a gratuity is a wonderful compliment and much appreciated! Customary tips are usually 15% to 20%.

Will there be other people (besides my party) on my private boat charter?

Any boat charter that you book will be for you and your group only. We do not offer public ride-shares and take pride in keeping our boat charters strictly private.

How far ahead of time should I book my boat charter?

During peak months (March, April, June & July) and during holidays, we advise booking as early as possible. We also recommend booking your charter at the beginning of your vacation so if bad weather affects your trip, we have other dates available for rescheduling.

What is the refund policy if I need to cancel my boat charter?

A 48-hour notice is required to receive a deposit refund. If notice is less than 48 hours, the deposit will be forfeited. Cancellations within 4 hours of departure or no-call/no-show situations will result in the total charter price being charged.

What time should I plan on arriving for my boat charter?

Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early and be ready with your gear on the dock.

What is included?

Each charter includes a captain, fuel, towels, safety equipment, life jackets for all passengers, coolers with ice, water bottles, and a complimentary bottle of champagne.

What should I bring with me on a boat charter?

Bring sunglasses, a hat, swimsuit, and a light jacket. Polarized sunglasses are helpful when searching for sea life.

Can we bring alcohol on board?

Yes. Responsible adults may bring their own alcoholic beverages onboard. Please avoid red wine or drinks that may stain the boat interior.

Can I bring food?

Yes. Foods that work well on the boat include sandwiches, fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese and crackers, nuts, and fruit plates.

Should I bring a cooler?

No. We provide coolers filled with ice. Small soft-sided coolers are okay, but larger coolers take up space.

Can we stop off somewhere to eat?

Yes. There are many wonderful dockside restaurants in Sarasota Bay and nearby areas. Ask us for restaurant suggestions.

Is there music on the boat?

Yes. The boat has a Bluetooth stereo system so you can connect your mobile device and play your favorite music.

Is there a bathroom on the boat?

Yes. There is a full bathroom (marine head) onboard.

What happens if there is poor weather conditions?

If your charter needs to be canceled or rescheduled due to unsafe weather conditions, refunds will be accommodated.

No. We love pets, however, pets are not allowed on your charter.

Will I get cellphone signal while out on the charter?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most trips operate in the Intercoastal Waterway or near shore in the Gulf of Mexico, so you should not lose cell service.

Is this safe for kids?

Absolutely. Boat tours are family friendly. Child-sized life jackets are available onboard.

Can we fish during our charter?

No. Fishing of any kind is not allowed during our charters.

Will I see dolphins on my boat charter?

We see bottlenose dolphins most of the time during our charters, although sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Will I see manatees on my boat charter?

Manatees are commonly seen in Sarasota waters during summer months, especially from May through October.

Will I be required to wear a life jacket on the boat?

Life jackets are provided but not mandatory unless required by safety regulations.

What type of sunscreen should I bring?

Bring SPF 15 or higher sunscreen. Please do not bring spray sunscreen or sunscreen with tanning, glitter, shimmer, or bronzing agents as they can stain the boat.

No. Cigarette, cigar, and pipe smoking are not allowed on the boats.
